Recovers from pit mistake Palou won the pole and finished fifth in the NTT IndyCar Series Sonsio Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course.

Impact The polesitter led 23 laps and looked to be on his way to his third consecutive win at the track, but a caution on Lap 22 changed his race. Palou, along with Kyle Kirkwood, didn't pit immediately after the caution, which led to both restarting deep in the pack after they pit a lap after the rest of the leaders. Palou was able to drive back through the field to finish fifth, but the miscue ended his shot at the victory. Up next is the Indianapolis 500, with Palou entering 2026 as the defending champion of the race.
