Scott McLaughlin Ends Drought With Dominant Laguna Seca Win

Runner-up Finish in Monterey Kirkwood finished second in the Mission Foods Grand Prix of Monterey NTT IndyCar Series race at the Laguna Seca circuit on Sunday afternoon.

Impact Kirkwood would start sixth on the grid and use good moves in the early laps to pick his way forward. Soon he would be riding behind Alex Palou in P3. The Andretti Global star would use a 3-stop strategy that would put him on soft tyres for the final stint. Kirkwood would hotly pursue Scott McLaughlin for the win but he'd come up 1.3-seconds short at the finish. It was his sixth podium of the season and wrapped up second-place for the team in the final championship standings.
