WATCH: Shaq's son, already 6-foot-8, has serious hoops skills

Shaquille O'Neal was one of the most dominant players in basketball history during his time in the NBA. It helps when you are 7-foot-3 and over 300 pounds.

It should come as no surprise that Shareef O'Neal, Shaq's 6-foot-8 son, is following in his father's footsteps.

Check out Shareef, a freshman at Windward High School in Los Angeles, in this highlight reel which shows off his variety of court skills, including some nifty passing, dribbling and dunking.

Shareef already is on the radar of one NCAA Division 1 program, the USC Trojans. The younger O'Neal announced via Twitter that USC extended him "an offer."

So while Shaq is busy falling off television sets, Shareef is climbing the high school basketball ranks. Pappa should be proud.
