Miami Hurricanes sophomore guard James Palmer to transfer

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -- Miami Hurricanes sophomore guard James Palmer has decided to transfer.

Palmer is from Washington and played in 34 games as a reserve this season. He averaged 12 minutes and 3.4 points.

The Hurricanes reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament last week before losing to Villanova.
