Wooga Poplar - Produces offensively Tuesday Poplar totaled 14 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals in 25 minutes during Tuesday's 86-63 victory over Florida State.
Impact While Poplar owned the lowest mpg and usage rate among Miami starters over the team's five games entering Tuesday, he's still been a consistent figure in the starting lineup, which he's been part of in all 20 games of the 2022-23 season. The sophomore did put up his highest scoring total of ACC play Tuesday and will continue to be a "glue guy" for the Canes as conference play presses forward.
JANUARY 24 • ROTOWIRE
Isaiah Wong - Solid game despite illness Wong ended with 18 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds and three assists over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 86-63 victory over Florida State.
Impact Wong had been dealing with a bad sinus infection this week, but it didn't prevent him from doing the dirty work in a blowout victory, as he put up a season-best nine rebounds in the 23-point win. There don't appear to be any concerns about the junior's availability for the Canes moving forward.
JANUARY 24 • ROTOWIRE
Isaiah Wong - Starting Tuesday Wong (illness) will be available and starting Tuesday at Florida State.
Impact The junior has been battling an illness this week, but will be in the starting rotation Tuesday at Florida State. This is great news for the Canes as Wong is averaging 16.2 points and 4.4 rebounds this season.
JANUARY 24 • ROTOWIRE
Norchad Omier - Pulls down 14 boards Saturday Omier supplied nine points (3-9 FG, 3-5 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals across 30 minutes during Saturday's 68-66 loss to Duke.
Impact Omier struggled badly from the field and couldn't score in double digits for the first time since he registered six points on Nov. 11 against UNCG. One of the most reliable two-way big men in the ACC, Omier is averaging 13.6 points and 12.8 rebounds per game across five January contests.
JANUARY 23 • ROTOWIRE
Isaiah Wong - Battling sinus infection Head coach Jim Larranaga said that Wong is dealing with a sinus infection and has been "sick as a dog," Mike Barber of the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.
Impact Wong, who's averaging 16.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists across 33.3 minutes per game this season, posted an underwhelming 7-2-1 stat line on just 25 minutes played in Saturday's loss to Duke. It's since been revealed that the 6-foot-4 guard played through a sinus infection that most likely slowed him down this past weekend, and his availability for Tuesday's matchup versus Florida State is now in question. Should Wong eventually miss any time, Bensley Joseph and Nisine Poplar would both be in store for additional minutes.
JANUARY 23 • ROTOWIRE
AJ Casey - Plays four minutes Casey (shoulder) logged four points (1-1 FG, 2-2 FT) across four minutes during the Hurricanes' 68-66 loss Saturday at Duke.
Impact Casey sat out thrice during January. But now that the Hurricanes freshman is healthy again, he can continue being a backup they used before his previous injury. Casey averaged 7.8 minutes from Nov. 11 to Jan. 4.
JANUARY 22 • ROTOWIRE
Nijel Pack - Better at Duke Pack logged 18 points (6-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two steals and one assist across 33 minutes during Miami's 68-66 loss Saturday at Duke.
Impact Across the Hurricanes' first half of January, they played outside Miami twice. Pack logged a field goal percentage worse than 33.3 both games. It was 40.0 during their matchup at Duke; and despite his inefficient scoring across the first three weeks of January, he averaged 12.0 points.

Guard Jordan Miller carving out crucial role in second season with the Hurricanes Guard Jordan Miller has been one of the key contributors in the Miami men's basketball team's strong first half of the season.

AJ Casey - DNP vs. Syracuse Casey (shoulder) did not play during the Hurricanes' 82-78 win Monday versus Syracuse.
Impact Despite his availability status being probable before Monday, Casey sat out as the Hurricanes logged their third loss of January that day. Casey's next opportunity to return is when they play at Duke on Saturday.
JANUARY 17 • ROTOWIRE
Harlond Beverly - Best game of season Monday Beverly ended with 16 points (4-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-8 FT), three rebounds and two steals over 22 minutes during Monday's 82-78 victory over Syracuse.
Impact Beverly posted a season-high scoring mark in this win, and in fact, he has reached the 15-point mark in two of his last three outings. He's also logged at least 20 minutes in each of those three contests, and he might be carving a bigger role off the bench as the season is progressing.
JANUARY 17 • ROTOWIRE
Norchad Omier - Continues to shine in win Omier racked up 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-5 FT), 16 rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 34 minutes during Monday's 82-78 victory over Syracuse.
Impact There's a strong argument to say Omier has been one of the best players for Miami this season, as he's been able to make a significant impact on both ends of the court almost on a game-to-game basis. He has three straight double-doubles and five in his last nine contests.

AJ Casey - Nearing return Casey (shoulder) is preparing to make a return during Monday's matchup with Syracuse, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Casey will look to make his return tonight after missing the last two games with a shoulder injury. The 6-foot-9 freshman has appeared in 14 games this season, logging 1.4 points and 1.6 rebounds on 7.8 minutes per game. If Casey is ultimately unable to suit up tonight, his next opportunity to return would be Saturday against Duke.
JANUARY 16 • ROTOWIRE
Isaiah Wong - Puts up 25 points Saturday Wong racked up 25 points (7-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 9-10 FT), six rebounds and one assist across 37 minutes during Saturday's 83-81 OT loss to North Carolina State.
Impact Wong was excellent despite the team's loss, and he continues to impact as a reliable offensive threat for the Hurricanes. The junior has scored at least 20 points in back-to-back games, and he has reached that tally in six of his last eight appearances.
JANUARY 15 • ROTOWIRE
Norchad Omier - Another double-double Omier notched 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-1 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and five blocks in 40 minutes during Saturday's 83-81 OT loss to North Carolina State.
Impact Omier was efficient from the field, active on the glass and excellent defensively while recording a second straight contest with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Aside from scoring in double digits for the 15th straight outing, he also has seven double-doubles in that span, and he's been one of the best two-way forwards in the entire Conference.
JANUARY 15 • ROTOWIRE
AJ Casey - Does not play Saturday Casey (shoulder) did not play in Saturday's 83-81 loss to N.C. State on Saturday.
Impact Casey decided he would dictate his decision based on how he felt in warmups and apparently didn't feel well enough to give it a go. The 6-9 freshman will try again Monday when the team hosts Syracuse.
JANUARY 15 • ROTOWIRE
AJ Casey - Likely to play Saturday Casey (shoulder) will go through warmups with the hopes of playing, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Casey is likely to return to the lineup Saturday after missing the previous game with a shoulder injury. The freshman forward is averaging 1.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.8 minutes across 14 contests this season.
