ORLANDO -- Victor Oladipo has been cleared by doctors to play and could make his season debut for the Orlando Magic on Friday night when they host the Milwaukee Bucks.

The second-year guard, who was second in scoring among all NBA rookies in 2013-14, has missed the Magic's first nine games because of a fractured bone in his face. The injury occurred at practice during the final week of the preseason. Oladipo had just recovered from a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee.

Oladipo was upgraded to questionable on the team's injury report. When he does play, he will be wearing a hard plastic mask for protection.

"I've been through whole practices, so how much ever contact that is, I've taken it," he told reporters Friday morning. "Working out and stuff, people have hit me a couple of times and I've been asking them if they are OK. The mask is bulletproof glass."

Evan Fournier has started in Oladipo's place, averaging 18.2 points a game on 51.4 percent shooting. He is coming off a career-high 28-point showing Wednesday night in their 97-95 victory at New York. Orlando has opened the season 3-6.
