Late to school? Father sends note blaming ... Bruce Springsteen
The day after the Super Bowl is notorious for people being late to work -- if they go at all -- or students showing up late for school.
In Albany, N.Y., however, it was the day after the day after the Super Bowl that provided impetus for one of the great late notes of all-time.
While Peyton Manning celebrated the Denver Broncos' victory at Disneyland on Monday, thousands in the state capital of New York spent the evening at The Times Union Center being entertained by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on "The River" tour.
The Albany Times Union reports that Patrick Pipino sent a note to school on Tuesday explaining his daughter's tardiness.
Well, the Springsteen lasted as long as the Super Bowl. Only there are no timeouts and the only reviews are for how great it was.
Well played, Mr. Springsteen and Mr. Pipino.
