'Inside the Heat: Gerald Green' to debut April 5 on FOX Sports Sun

MIAMI (April 4, 2016) -- FOX Sports Sun, the regional television home of the Miami HEAT, will debut a new episode of "Inside the HEAT" tomorrow night upon conclusion of the Miami vs. Detroit Pistons game. Titled "Gerald Green," this episode highlights the journey to the NBA for Miami's sharp-shooting swingman.

Join "Inside the HEAT" and host Jason Jackson as we explore the life and background of the HEAT's dynamic guard. The takes place on an outdoor basketball court overlooking the water on the US Coast Guard base. Gerald and Jason spend some time discussing growing up in Houston and how a tragic, life-changing event didn't stop him from pursuing his dream. Viewers will hear how he first got into basketball and how he came to the decision to forego college for the NBA Draft. Green's career spans three continents and 11 teams over ten seasons, a journey that has equipped him with a passion to succeed in Miami.

Gerald gives insight on why he wanted to play for Miami and how the culture and atmosphere is unlike anything else he has experienced. Learn about his passion to give back, especially in the city of Miami, and why it is important to his family. Finally, Gerald gives Jason a lesson in the art of dunking while recreating some of his famous dunks over the years. See if Jason has what it takes to be like the "hurricane" on an all-new "Inside the HEAT."
