Indians turn tarp into giant Slip 'N Slide
This may be the most jovial rainout entertainment witnessed in a while.
As a deluge of rain hit Progressive Field in Cleveland Tuesday night, a few Indians players channeled their collective inner child and turned the diamond into their own personal amusement park as word came down that the game had been postponed.
Rain at baseball games -- and the accompanying delays -- is no fun but Mike Aviles, Jason Kipnis and Lonnie Chisenhall partook in some quality hijinks to mitigate the boredom.
A big tarp. A ton of water. What were they supposed to do? http://t.co/mQkSf8r53P

"I got to tarp slide after a big-league game," Kipnis told reporters after the game. "I've always wanted to do it. You have to play this game as a fan sometimes."
The fans that weathered the stormy weather applauded Kipnis' sweet slide into home (if multimedia does not appear right away, refresh page).
No injuries were wrought from the sliding so it's all in good fun. And now those backyard Slip 'N Slides we thought were uber awesome and huge as kids are forever trumped.
