Updated Mar. 4, 2020 12:38 p.m. ET

The 10th annual Pat Summerall Award will be presented to FOX Sports lead play-by-play broadcaster Joe Buck on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at the Legends for Charity Dinner at the Hyatt Regency in Phoenix. The dinner will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Buck, a seven-time Emmy Award winner, becomes the 10th recipient of this prestigious award that bears the name of the late legendary broadcaster. Buck, one of sports' premier broadcasters, handles lead play-by-play duties for FOX Sports' Emmy Award-winning coverage of the National Football League and Major League Baseball.

"There is no greater honor that I, or anyone in my profession, could receive than one named for Pat Summerall," said Joe Buck. "He was a dear friend, and aside from my father, the biggest influence on my career. Nobody said more with less and nobody cared more about the game than Pat. He played it and delivered it to millions on their televisions year after year on CBS and FOX. I am beyond humbled."

"Joe Buck has been a great friend to St. Jude through FOX Sports Supports and beyond, and it's so meaningful to see him honored as a powerful voice for catastrophically ill children in the name of announcing legend, Pat Summerall." said Richard C. Shadyac Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. "It is the voices, passion and compassion of people like Pat Summerall and Joe Buck combined with the generous support of millions of people across the country that allows St. Jude to lead the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases."
