Clippers re-sign Glen Davis to new contract

The Clippers brought back a big body on Saturday, re-signing forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis, who appeared in 23 games last season and will give the team a strong front-court presence.
Davis reportedly signed a one-year deal worth $1.2 million.
The Clippers added Davis last Feb. 24 after he was bought out by the Orlando Magic. Davis was reunited with coach Doc Rivers, who coached the 6-foot-9 forward with the Boston Celtics and won an NBA title in 2008.
With the Clippers, Davis showed a deft touch around the basket, averaging 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds in 13.4 minutes. In the postseason, he had some good stretches, averaging 3.8 points and 2.8 rebounds.
With Davis returning, Rivers now has a bench that includes center Spencer Hawes, who signed a free-agent deal worth $23 million over four years, and guard Jordan Farmar.
