Young leaves with sprained left knee

Published Oct. 19, 2010 2:25 a.m. ET

Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young left the game midway through the first quarter on Monday night when he fumbled the snap and Terrance Knighton of the Jacksonville Jaguars fell on his left leg.

Young, who threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Britt on the opening drive, was helped off the field. The Titans said he sprained his left knee, and it was questionable if he would return.

He was replaced by Kerry Collins.

Two years ago at Jacksonville, the Jaguars knocked Young out of the game in the season opener. Collins replaced him, the Titans went on to win the game and he took them to the playoffs. The year was memorable for Young going into a deep funk.
