Worried about his job? Nope, Kyle Shanahan is excited for next year

While Kyle Shanahan has brought in his new system to the Atlanta Falcons and saw mixed results throughout the 2015 season, some have been believers that he should already be on his way out the door. While that may be a bit of an overreaction, Shanahan sounds like a man who's just excited about heading into his second year with this offense.

Via Vaughn McClure of ESPN:

"I think we have accomplished some things this year, but we definitely didn't accomplish what we set out to do," Shanahan said. "And I've never been looking forward to an offseason so much to where I think we can improve in a lot of ways, and I know we're going to. And I really look forward to getting this started next year."

Well, when you have an offense that features Julio Jones, Devonta Freeman and Matt Ryan, there's obvious reasons to be excited. While Ryan did struggle at times this year, it's going to be interesting to see how he does with another offseason under his belt working with Shanahan.

The Falcons have a bright future, and there's reason to believe that Shanahan could very well be a big part of that future. With another year, fans are hoping to see some growth and of course, a playoff berth for their team.
