WATCH: Complex goes sneaker shopping with Marshawn Lynch

We don't know much about the NFL's most mysterious star player, Marshawn Lynch, but we do know these two things: he's all about that (football) action and he's a sneaker head. The NFL was able to bar him from wearing his $1,000 cleats for the NFC Championship game, but the league doesn't have the power to stop him from sneaker shopping on his own time.

Complex's Joe La Puma had the honor of meeting up to go sneaker shopping with Lynch at District Footwear in Alameda, California. Lynch was like a kid in a candy store when he got inside.

After going over a few of Lynch's favorites on the shelf, La Puma asked him whether it was important for him to have the best sneakers when he was younger.

"Growing up, you just had to rock what you had to rock with," Lynch told La Puma. "The combat boots, them probably was my best shoes because they lasted the longest. Moms couldn't drop no $250 on a pair of shoes."

La Puma did his research -- he asked Lynch about a super-limited pair of shoes that he once caught Lynch rocking during pre-game warmups. When La Puma asked him how he got his hands on a pair of those, his response was classic Lynch.

"I mean, you just gotta know people. When you got people in high places, they make things happen."

Lynch has never copped a pair of the "Kanye's" (Nike Air Yeezy 1 "Net/Net"), because according to Lynch, they're out of his price range. Lynch had another idea about how he could get his hands on a pair.

"I know y'all probably got a line on Kanye; tell him to send me some of these."
