Victor Cruz's return seems no closer than it was a week ago

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is no closer to resuming his role as the team's starting wide receiver. Head coach Tom Coughlin told reporters that he doesn't expect Cruz to practice or play this week.

"No," Coughlin said when asked if Cruz had a timetable yet, per the New York Daily News. "None that I know of."

Cruz's comeback took a turn for the worse in October during his only team practice in the 2015 regular season. Whereas before Cruz was active in talking about his timetable for a comeback, he has gone silent in recent weeks.

In the mean time, the Giants will continue to use Dwayne Harris in the slot. Harris had arguably the best receiving game of his career in Week 8 when he caught three passes for 37 yards and two touchdowns.
