Victor Cruz enjoyed acting with "The Rock" on HBO series
All of the talk surrounding New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz has focused on his recovery from a torn patella tendon. Will he be ready for training camp? Will he be ready for the regular season? Cruz took a break from discussing all of that, and instead, he told reporters about his uncontrollable excitement for the series premiere of HBO's "Ballers"--a series starring Dwayne Johnson, that Cruz will appear in for three episodes.
“It’s been fun,” Cruz said, per The New York Post. “It’s different for me, being my first time working on that scale of television. But they made it easy on me, the staff and everyone on set, and working with The Rock makes it easy, as well. I had a blast. Hopefully, they can work me into Season 2.”
Some part of Cruz has always wanted to be an actor.
“It’s kind of one of my passions, so hopefully I can slowly work into it,” Cruz said of acting. “Then come post-career, maybe I’ll be an actor. It always interested me. Now that I’ve had a platform to do it, we’ll see how it goes.”
Cruz can sit back and enjoy the three episodes he appears in as the Giants take a break from practice until minicamp gets underway over a month from now.
