Tom Brady Completes First Pass of 2016 (Video)

After serving a four-game suspension, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is back and hasn’t missed a beat it seems
It’s only one pass, but it is always nice to get your season debut off to a good start. In case you were crazy enough to think that Tom Brady, who is a true gym rat, would show any rust in the New England Patriots Week 5 battle against the Cleveland Browns, Brady’s first pass attempt was a completion.

And who would be a better target for his first pass than Julian Edelman?
The Patriots trusty No. 1 wide receiver caught a simple pass on the right flat for about a ten-yard gain. The video shows that the ref spotted it just short of the first-down marker. Credit to Edelman for showing grit by diving for the first down. But the Browns defender had him shoved out of bounds promptly after making the catch.
As you would expect, Brady’s first pass was an easy toss to the ultra-reliable Edelman and it’s a way to slowly get back on track. After Jacoby Brissett and the Patriots were shut out by a hungry Buffalo Bills defense last week, Brady’s return to the field couldn’t have come at a better time.
The Browns may be winless, but they haven’t been pushovers this season, putting up a fight in their losses.
New England is already up 7-0 on Cleveland as Brady led his team to the end zone on the first drive. LeGarrette Blount may have fewer carries with Brady back under center, but he’s still a touchdown monster as he capped off the drive with a one-yard plunge.
Brady is currently 4-for-5, and 53 of his 65 passing yards have gone to Rob Gronkowski. Edelman and No. 2 tight end Martellus Bennett are responsible for the other 12.
