Titans left tackle Roos considering knee surgery

Published Oct. 8, 2014 4:40 p.m. ET

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Titans left tackle Michael Roos says he likely will need surgery on his right knee, and he'll make the decision in the next couple days.

One factor in Roos' decision will be whether he faces a short recovery or if the surgery potentially would be season-ending. Roos did not practice Wednesday and wore a brace on his right knee.

He referred questions on his injury's specifics to coach Ken Whisenhunt, who won't talk with reporters until after Thursday's practice. But Roos says he was hurt in the first half of Sunday's 29-28 loss to Cleveland.

The 6-foot-7, 313-pound tackle now in his 10th season has missed only one game because of an appendectomy in 2012. Roos has played 148 career games and is in the final year of his contract.
