Tennessee Titans running back Antonio Andrews enter his second season in the NFL thinking big. Andrews, who made the team as an undrafted free agent out of Western Kentucky last season, isn't content just have a spot on the roster.

"This year my whole mindset is to be a starter," Andrews said, via John Glennon of the Tennessean. "That's my goal, and yeah, I think it's doable."

It may be doable, but it won't be easy. The Titans released veteran back Shonn Greene last week, but plenty of competition at the position still remains. Tennessee returns 2014 second-round pick Bishop Sankey, as well as veteran Dexter McCluster. In addition, the team added two backs in the draft: David Cobb and fullback Jalston Fowler.

Andrews, however, remains confident in his chances.

"They brought me here for a reason, and at this point I can't worry about a draft pick or none of that," Andrews said. "I am just going for a starting spot, whether it is Bishop Sankey, Dexter McCluster, David Cobb, Jalston Fowler or (undrafted free agent fullback) Connor Neighbors, I am just trying to be the No. 1 guy.

"You have to think like that. Just like they are trying to feed their family, I have to try and feed mine. I just have to play ball like Antonio Andrews plays ball."

The 5-foot-10, 225-pound Andrews was promoted from the practice squad in October and appeared in four games last year. He didn't carry the ball, but did catch two passes for 11 yards in the season finale against the Colts.

With Cobb nursing a hamstring injury and Greene absent from OTAs before his release, Andrews has gotten plenty of reps during the Titans' offseason program. He said he's improved his quickness and footwork from a season ago and isn't worried about fending off a challenge from either of the team's newly-drafted backs.

"When they draft a guy, you have to perform," Andrews said. "But I have upped my game since last year and I'm ready to roll.

"I'm just going to give it my all and play hard and the better man will start."
