Terrance Williams injures elbow, considered nothing serious

Published Jun. 19, 2015 2:30 p.m. ET

In the final practice of mini-camp, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams injured his elbow. The injury happened during the final 10 minutes of the team's final practice, according to beat reporter Brandon George. Fortunately, although Williams suffered a bruised left elbow, X-rays came back negative.

Williams can take it easy until July 28th when the Cowboys start up training camp. Although most pencil Williams in as the No. 2 wide receiver behind Dez Bryant, second year wide receiver Devin Street has practiced exceptionally well during OTAs and the team's mini-camp. Street offers better size, leaping ability and quickness. These are traits that translate well inside the red zone. If Williams can't stay healthy and contribute during training camp, don't be surprised if you see Street step in to his role.
