Reggie White was the Minister of Defense. A 13-time Pro Bowler, 10-time first team All Pro, two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, White starred most notably for the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers.

On Dec. 26, 2004 -- 10 years ago Friday -- football lost one of its most beloved legends. White was at home in Cornelius, N.C., when he suffered a fatal cardiac arrhythmia, which was attributed to sarcoidosis, a tissue inflammation disorder, and the sleep apnea that plagued White. He was 43.

In addition to starring on the football field, White was also an ordained Evangelical minister. He is a member of the College and Pro Football Hall of Fame. Before playing in the NFL, White was an All-American at Tennessee.

His No. 92 jersey has been retired by the Volunteers, Eagles and Packers.

Here's a look at the life and times of the Minister of Defense.
