Well, after months and months of waiting, the NFL preseason is finally here.

There are several rookies looking to make an impression and veterans just trying to get through August injury-free. The grind of training camp is something every player must survive. Nobody knows that better than Kirk Morrison, a man who played eight seasons in the league at linebacker.

Morrison joined "The Peter Schrager Podcast" on Tuesday and broached several topics. What will it take for a rookie quarterback to win over a locker room? Who are the best linebackers in the game right now? And speaking of defense, Morrison and Schrager talk Michael Sam and how his adjustment to the NFL has gone thus far. What's more, Morrison is revving up to call Sam's first NFL game from the broadcast booth.

Later on, Schrager speaks with Minnesota Vikings brodcaster Paul Allen.

With all the fuss focused on Johnny Manziel and his first season, people might have forgotten about Teddy Bridgewater and his adjustment to life in the pros. Allen gives us a progress report on the young man out of Louisville.
