Super Bowl moments No. 25: Cowboys RB Robert Newhouse proves he can throw

As we count down to Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, Calif., it's time to look back on the magical and memorable moments in the 49 previous Super Bowls. FOX Sports senior NFL writer Alex Marvez has ranked the 50 greatest moments in the big game's big history, and every weekday from now until Feb. 7 we'll unveil the latest addition to our countdown. Today, we look back at moment No. 25, when the Cowboys' trickery buried the Broncos in Super Bowl XII.
Dallas fullback Robert Newhouse failed to complete a gimmick pass play throughout practice the week before the Cowboys played Denver on Jan. 15, 1978.
Newhouse, though, delivered when the Cowboys called "Brown Right X Opposite Shift, Fire Toss 38, Halfback Lead, Fullback Pass to Y" midway through the fourth quarter against the Broncos.
Newhouse took a handoff from quarterback Roger Staubach, ran to his left and abruptly stopped to loft a pass to wide receiver Golden Richards for a 29-yard touchdown that sealed the Cowboys win.
