Zach Mettenberger is getting another chance to prove he can be a reliable NFL quarterback. The Pittsburgh Steelers claimed the 25-year-old QB one day after he was cut by the Chargers, NFL.com reported Wednesday.
The Steelers add Mettenberger to Ben Roethlisberger and the Landry Jones in an effort to bolster their quarterback depth.
Mettenberger spent his first two years with the Titans after the team drafted him in the sixth round in 2014. Tennessee lost all 10 of his starts during that span as he threw 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. The team cut him in May after it signed Matt Cassel to back up Marcus Mariota.
