Steelers' Essex inactive against Dolphins

Pittsburgh Steelers guard Trai Essex is inactive for Sunday's game at Miami, the fourth game he has missed because of a sprained left ankle.

Essex, who had been listed as questionable, was replaced in the starting lineup by Doug Legursky.

Dolphins linebacker Karlos Dansby and fullback Lousaka Polite were active. Dansby had been listed as probable with a knee injury, and Polite had been listed as questionable with a knee injury.

Dolphins guard John Jerry, recovering from an illness, missed his fourth game in a row. With Miami defensive end Jared Odrick out for the season because of a left foot injury, Randy Starks started at end and Paul Soliai started at nose tackle.
