Saints set to travel the second farthest in the NFL for training camp

While many teams still stay local for their team training camps, we're up to a grand total of 12 teams who are going to be heading on the road this offseason to prepare for 2015. While many of those teams won't travel too far, there are a few, specifically the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints who have quite a trek ahead of them.

According to Evan Woodbery of NOLA.com, the Saints will travel the second farthest for training camp, behind only the Cowboys. Woodbery explains that the Cowboys will travel to Oxnard, California, which is a 1,473 mile trip, and the Saints head to White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, a 886 mile trip.

The Oakland Raiders, Washington Redskins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers will also be traveling. For what it's worth, Woodbery reports that the Packers are only traveling six miles though.

The Saints made this same trip last season though, so many will be familiar with the area and the facilities.
