Saints release Tim Hightower less than 24 hours after re-signing him

It's been a bit of an emotional roller coaster this week for running back Tim Hightower.

After the New Orleans Saints chose to release the running back, ending his comeback for the time being, the team apparently changed their mind. On Monday, the Saints brought back Hightower, just two days after the original release.

Then came Tuesday. As Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk reports, Tuesday apparently wasn't a good day for Hightower, as the team chose to release the running back with an injury waiver.

This means that Hightower was back on the Saints for less than 24 hours. While it's unknown exactly what happened or what was wrong with him physically, something obviously happened. In turn, the Saints had to make a move on Hightower once again, leaving him with one of the craziest offseasons in recent memory.
