Saints place undrafted free agent Malcome Kennedy on injured reserve

The New Orleans Saints chose to put undrafted free agent wide receiver Malcome Kennedy on waivers earlier this week. Apparently, the team was hoping he'd clear waivers so they could place him on the injured reserve, which they ended up doing according to Evan Woodbery of NOLA.com.

As Woodbery explains, "Kennedy, who played at Texas A&M, underwent foot surgery on Monday after suffering an injury in the Saints' weekend minicamp. He was waived by the Saints on Monday with an injury designation."

The Saints obviously have seen something they like in Kennedy and are hoping to see what he can bring to the team after he recovers from surgery. Here's to hoping for a speedy recovery for the former Aggie.
