Reports: Childress, Harvin separated

Published Nov. 7, 2010 1:00 a.m. ET

Vikings head coach Brad Childress seems to be having a tough time seeing eye-to-eye with his wide receivers.

Percy Harvin and Childress reportedly got into a heated argument upon Harvin's return to practice on Friday, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Citing sources, the report claims Childress questioned Harvin's effort during practice.

ESPN.com reports that the argument grew so heated that players and coaches were forced to intervene and even separate the two to prevent it from getting physical.

The altercation came just days after Childress made the decision to waive disgruntled wide receiver Randy Moss.
