Report: Wilson to shut down talks if deal not agreed to by Friday

Published Jul. 28, 2015 12:53 a.m. ET

The days continue to pass, yet there is still no deal in place for Russell Wilson.

Now, John Clayton and Jim Trotter are reporting that Wilson will call off contract talks if a deal is not agreed upon by Friday when the Seahawks begin training camp.

Wilson is slated to make $1.54 million this season in the final year of his rookie deal. He hinted at a possible figure in an interview with ESPN that would pay him $25 million annually, which would make him the highest-paid player in the NFL.

It was reported over the weekend that Wilson turned down an offer for $21 million per year.
