Report: Watch out for Marcus Peters at No. 18 overall

With its ferocious pass rush, Kansas City's defense could use another cornerback to round out Bob Sutton's defense.

But what happens if Michigan State's Trae Waynes and Wake Forest's Kevin Johnson are both gone by the time the Chiefs pick? One NFL insider thinks John Dorsey could make a play for Washington's Marcus Peters.

"Here's a name to watch there: Marcus Peters," NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport predicted on Daniel Jeremiah's Move The Sticks Podcast. "That could be a guy, they brought him into their building, looked him into the eye and wanted to make sure he fit into their culture. If they liked what they saw, this could make sense."

Peters is undoubtedly talented, but he's been a human laundry-list of drama since his dismissal from the Huskies. The Chiefs probably just wanted to see if Peters would be so high-maintainance in the pros.

But if Dorsey thinks Peters is salvagable, he could end up being this NFL Draft class' top cornerback one day.
