Report: Ryan Lindley to start at QB for Cardinals over Logan Thomas

Published Dec. 25, 2014 2:57 p.m. ET

The Arizona Cardinals reportedly are going to start QB Ryan Lindley on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, after all.

Earlier in the week, coach Bruce Arians said he was leaning toward starting rookie quarterback Logan Thomas in the team's regular-season finale.

Arians said he had not made a final determination but told Arizona Sports radio minutes later Thomas will start.

According to the Arizona Republic, just three days and a few practices later, Arians has changed his mind.

Apparently, Thomas had a shaky start at Wednesday's practice and that was enough to shake the coach's confidence.

The Cardinals have a chance to win the NFC West with a victory over the 49ers if the Rams beat the Seahawks.
