Report: Patriots' Chandler Jones was rushed to hospital Sunday
Chandler Jones was rushed to the hospital on Sunday morning after showing up at the Foxboro Police Department with a medical emergency, according to a report.
The Boston Herald reported the news about the New England Patriots defensive end. They say dispatch records show Jones arrived at the police station at 7:42 a.m. with a medical emergency and was taken to the hospital shortly after 8 a.m. The police were very careful not to reveal the nature of the medical emergency, saying it was a private matter. They also deleted dispatch records regarding Jones before releasing them to the newspaper.
Boston radio's WEEI "Dennis and Callahan Show" added more detail, reporting on Twitter that Jones overdosed on pills Saturday night.
Jones did practice with the team on Monday and Tuesday.
The Patriots in a statement confirmed Jones went to the hospital Sunday.

The Pats were on a bye last weekend and are preparing for their playoff game Saturday at home against the Kansas City Chiefs. Jones recorded 12.5 sacks this season and is one of the top players on the team's defense.
Jones is extremely private about his personal business as we've learned in the past, so when you combine that fact with him playing for the notoriously discreet Patriots, it's unlikely we'll hear much more about the matter.
