Report: Oakland-area stadium proposal isn't friendly to the Raiders

There might’ve been a reason why Raiders officials wanted Floyd Kephart’s stadium plans under wraps.
According to the San Jose Mercury News, the Oakland-area proposal isn’t very team friendly. The paper obtained the financial framework of the deal on Friday night and initial reviews aren’t good.
"This is not just the worst stadium proposal I've seen," Marc Ganis, president of sports consulting firm SportsCorp Ltd. told the Mercury News. "It's the worst by far."
It’s tough to see a scenario where Raiders owner Mark Davis accepts Kephart’s plan. It calls for 20 percent ownership to be transferred to Kephart’s New City development team.
Even with that power shift, the Raiders would still be on the hook for at least $100 million for a new stadium — and lease the land it’s built on for a quarter-million every year.
Those are tough pills for Raiders team officials to swallow. Expect Los Angeles relocation to become an even greater possibility if this is the best Oakland can do.
