Report: Jay Z closing a deal with Lions' Ndamukong Suh
Jay Z isn't playing any games when it comes to snatching big clients for Roc Nation. Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh will be joining the hip hop mogul's agency to be represented for contract negotiations and marketing, according to a report by ESPN.
Roc Nation has been tallying clients for the past several months, signing huge names such as CC Sabathia, Skylar Diggins, Victor Cruz, Geno Smith, Robinson Cano and Kevin Durant.
For a sports agency just stepping on the scene, that's pretty damn good.
The signing of Suh would represent Jay Z and Roc Nation's biggest football client, but no comment by the agency was made about Detroit's tackle on Tuesday.
Suh, who is entering the fifth and final year of his rookie contract with Detroit, decided to leave Relativity Sports in January and find someone else to represent him.
Suh could be expecting a nice-looking contract and pay day in the near future, as it was reported that Lions president Tom Lewand and general manager Martin Mayhew said a long-term deal to keep Suh in Detroit is desired by both parties.
Suh is coming off a season in which he recorded 49 tackles and 5.5 sacks.
