Report: Haynesworth passes fitness test

Published Aug. 7, 2010 1:44 p.m. ET

Defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth passed the Redskins' conditioning test Saturday morning, The Washington Post reported.

Haynesworth, held out of practice by Coach Mike Shanahan until he could pass the test, arrived at Redskins Park before 6 a.m. to prepare for the shuttle run, the paper reported.

Haynesworth has been recovering from knee soreness after failing the test when camp opened July 29 and again two days later. The test consists of two timed 300-yard runs separated by a brief rest.

The team will hold a limited practice Saturday in its annual Fan Appreciation Day at Redskins Park.
