Redskins fans: Brace yourselves for RGIII's poor Madden rating

After a disastrous 2014 season where everything seemed to go wrong, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is about to be dealt another blow.
Individual player ratings for the upcoming release of Madden 16', on August 25th, have started emerging in different places on the internet. Griffin's rating hasn't leaked yet, but one current Madden game designer provided 106.7 The Fan's Grant Paulsen and Danny Rouhier some inside information on Tuesday.
Clint Oldenburg was the designer who was interviewed, and he spoke specifically about Griffin's individual rating.
“He’s definitely not going to be as high as Redskins fans are hoping,” Madden game deisgner Clint Oldenburg said, per CBS DC. “But it’s all on him. He’s be the first to tell you, he’s looking forward to performing this year, and if he performs well, he’ll get updated weekly.”
In reality, Griffin's Madden rating has no meaning to him or anyone else. It's simply another fun narrative to toss around during one of the most dead periods in the NFL's news cycle. However, it would be difficult to say that a low rating is not justified after the game tape he put on record in 2014.
