Ravens LB Brown out after surgery
Ravens rookie linebacker Arthur Brown will be sidelined for at least a month while he recovers from sports hernia surgery.
Brown, the Ravens' second-round draft pick, had the operation two weeks ago following the team's first rookie minicamp. He did not practice Wednesday at a voluntary offseason camp and is also expected to miss the mandatory three-day minicamp that begins June 11.
He is expected to be fully recovered by the time Baltimore begins training camp in late July.
Coach John Harbaugh says, ''It's a four-to-six week deal, and he should be fine soon enough.''
Once he returns to the field, Brown is expected to challenge for one of Baltimore's two starting jobs at inside linebacker. He was the Big 12 defensive player of the year at Kansas State last season.
