Raiders release LB Curtis Lofton after one season with team

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) The Oakland Raiders released linebacker Curtis Lofton on Friday after he spent one season with the team.

Oakland this week added free agent linebacker Bruce Irvin, who got a reported $39 million for four seasons.

Lofton started nine games and played in all 16 for the Raiders. He had 64 tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery.

Lofton also has played for Atlanta and New Orleans during his eight NFL seasons.
