Quinton Coples wishes Jets 'nothing but the best' after being cut

The New York Jets made a surprising move on Monday, waiving 2012 first-round pick Quinton Coples. The outside linebacker lost his starting job this season as he struggled to fit Todd Bowles' system, but he's showed flashes of potential with 16.5 sacks in the past three years.
Following his release, Coples took to Twitter to thank the Jets and their fans for their support, wishing the team "nothing but the best."
Coples will almost certainly be scooped up by another team based on his talent alone. He hasn't exactly translated well in the NFL after dominating at North Carolina, but it could just be due to a poor fit with the Jets.
He's probably better suited as a down-lineman rushing the passer and could be worth claiming for a team in need of reinforcements on the defensive line.
