Prosecutor asks court to reject appeal in OJ case

Clark County District Attorney David Roger asked the Nevada Supreme Court Friday to reject Clarence "C.J." Stewart's request to have his conviction overturned in a September 2007 armed hotel room heist.

The prosecutor pointed to state and federal case law supporting his position that Simpson's former golfing buddy wasn't entitled to a "perfect trial" but only a "fair trial."

Stewart claims he should have been tried separately from the former NFL football star, that evidence was improperly used against him, and the jury foreman hid a bias toward Simpson until after the pair were convicted and sentenced.
