Posluszny, Whitner likely back for Bills vs. Jets

Published Oct. 16, 2009 7:22 p.m. ET

Buffalo starting middle linebacker Paul Posluszny and starting safety Donte Whitner are both probable for the Bills game at the New York Jets.

Posluszny has missed the past four games because of a broken forearm, while Whitner missed his second straight game last Sunday because of a thumb injury. Both players participated fully in practice on Thursday and Friday.

Starting safety Bryan Scott (ankle) and starting right tackle Jonathan Scott (ankle) are both out for Sunday's game, while starting linebacker Keith Ellison (knee) is questionable. Rookie Jamon Meredith is expected to get the start at right tackle for Scott.

Starting cornerback Terrence McGee (knee), slot receiver Josh Reed (leg), and return man Roscoe Parrish (thigh) are all probable.
