Portis says he will not play Sunday

Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis said Tuesday he probably will not be able to play Sunday due to a groin injury, the Washington Post reported.
Portis injured his groin during Sunday's 17-12 victory over the Eagles, but was forced to leave the game on several occasions. He still managed to rush for 55 yards.
The Redskins are awaiting MRI results, but Portis does not anticipate that the Redskins will allow him to suit up on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
"I don't think the team would even let me attempt to go and try to play on Sunday," Portis said during his weekly radio appearance on 106.7 The Fan.
Ryan Torain, who rushed for 70 yards Sunday in place of Portis, is expected to start against Green Bay if Portis cannot play.
Portis, in his ninth season in the NFL, is only 208 yards from eclipsing the 10,000-yard mark for his career.
