Plaxico Burress: 'I'm not going to say I'm retired just yet'

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 7:05 p.m. ET

As Plaxico Burress continues to rehab from a torn rotator cuff, his NFL future is uncertain.

The wide receiver, who sustained the injury during Steelers' training camp, will turn 37 prior to the kickoff of the 2014 season.

"I'm not going to say I'm retired just yet," Burress said Monday on FOX Super Bowl Daily. "I'm just going to take it one day at a time and continue to get stronger and rehab between Pittsburgh and New Jersey. I'm going to go into the offseason with a positive mindset and make a decision on how I feel and then everybody will find out."

Burress also spoke with Jimmy Johnson and Curt Menefee about how weather affects wide receivers, including which gloves to wear and what routes to run.
