Package found near Cowboys Stadium

The area surrounding Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas was closed Friday as authorities investigated a suspicious package, WFAA-TV reported.

Police said someone threw a package into a ditch near the stadium, which will host the Super Bowl Feb. 6 between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers.

Multiple law enforcement officials were on the scene and nearby roads were closed, WFAA reported.
