Offensive lineman Eric Kush 'thrown right into the fire' with Houston

With Monday night's matchup against the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals looming, new Houston offensive lineman Eric Kush said he's working to learn Texans playbook as quickly as possible
Kush was signed last week after the Texans center Greg Mancz was lost for the season with a knee injured suffered in the team's Nov. 1 win over the Tennessee Titans.
“It’s awesome, getting back to work, learning a new offense,” Kush said, per the Houston Chronicle. “I’m just working my butt off, learning and blending in. The guys have helped me a lot, absolutely. You get thrown right into the fire.”
A sixth-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013, Kush has appeared in three career games with one start.
He joined the Texans after being released from the Carolina Panthers' practice squad in October.
