NFL odds: Seahawks favored at home over Bills for Monday Night Football

The Buffalo Bills (4–4) have followed a four-game winning streak with a two-game skid and hope to get back on track when they travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks (4-2-1) on Monday as seven-point underdogs at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
The Bills desperately need a victory to stay in the AFC playoff race with their bye week on tap, as head coach Rex Ryan has called this visit to Seattle a “must-win” game.
Falling below the .500 mark would be a blow to a Buffalo team that has scored just five less points than the AFC East-leading New England Patriots through the first eight games and is the lone team to defeat New England this season. Former wide receiver Percy Harvin even came out of retirement earlier in the week in an effort to help them.
Whether or not Harvin will really make a difference at this point of his career remains to be seen. But he did make an impact when he was with the Seahawks, who know what he is capable of doing on the field. Seattle saw Harvin return the opening kickoff of the second half for a touchdown in the team’s 43–8 rout of the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII three seasons ago.
Regardless, Buffalo has gone 4–1 against the spread in the past five meetings with the Seahawks, according to the OddsShark NFL Database.
Seattle is 0-1-1 in its last two games overall this year—with both coming on the road—and they have gone 12–2 straight up in their previous 14 games at CenturyLink Field after playing consecutive games away from home. The Seahawks fell 25–20 to the New Orleans Saints as one-point favorites last Sunday after earning a 6–6 tie with the Arizona Cardinals as 1.5-point underdogs the week before.

The Seahawks are 3–0 SU at home but just 1–2 ATS, failing to cover against the Miami Dolphins and the Atlanta Falcons.
Bettors should expect a low-scoring game between these two defensive-minded teams. The under has cashed in seven of Seattle’s last 10 games as a favorite on the NFL betting lines at the sportsbooks along with eight of the past 10 for the Bills when they have been road dogs.
In addition, Buffalo has lost SU in five of its last six Monday Night Football appearances heading into this matchup.
