NFL coaching tracker: With Black Monday behind us, here's what's cooking on the carousel

TUESDAY (All times ET)
Barely 24 hours removed from his firing by New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, Rex Ryan is reportedly a very wanted man.
According to multiple reports, Ryan already has interviews lined up with the 49ers and Falcons for their head-coaching vacancies.
Ryan's specialty is defense, and Atlanta's was especially bad this past season (dead last, in fact). San Francisco has fielded one of the top defenses in the NFL over the past four seasons, even finishing fifth in what was a down 2014 for the franchise.
Hottest coordinators piling up the suitors (6:15 p.m.):
Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, already on the Jets' radar, is interviewing with the 49ers on Tuesday night, FOX Sports 1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo reported.
At least the hottest offensive coordinator in the league, the Broncos' Adam Gase, has an extra bye week to fit in his suddenly booked calendar.
Allow me to correct myself: Quinn is the Niners first outside interview. @mattbarrows reported Vic Fangio interviewed this morning.

Fresh off a 3-13 campaign which featured the NFL's second-worst offense, Jacksonville, perhaps unsurprisingly, fired offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch. But what may open some eyes is the reasoning behind the move.
In announcing the decision on Tuesday, Jags head coach Gus Bradley admitted he thought Fisch gave rookie QB Blake Bortles too big a workload.
"Which way is best? I don't know," Bradley told the media. "I know the way we kind of want to do it. ... We want to help him get better every day and not overwhelm. I think you know my philosophy of be careful of how much you put on a guy to create a lot of anxiety that might keep him from being his best."
Jets' search taking off (4 p.m.):
The search is on for Woody Johnson and the New York Jets.
With Rex Ryan and John Idzik out, the team is moving quickly to line up interviews for candidates to be their next coach and general manager.
Johnson and a few other members of the organization will fly out to Seattle this weekend to speak with Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and offensive line coach Tom Cable about the coaching position, and director of pro personnel Trent Kirchner about the GM job.
On a list that seems to keep growing, the team has also requested permission to speak with Arizona defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, Baltimore offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak and San Diego offensive coordinator Frank Reich to replace Ryan, who was fired along with Idzik on Monday. -- AP
Jags changing up the offense (1:15 p.m.):
The Jaguars fired offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch after the team ranked 31st in total and passing offense this season.
Difference of opinion in Atlanta (1 p.m.):
According to Knox Bardeen of FOX Sports South, now-fired head coach Mike Smith and still-employed general manager Thomas Dimitroff disagreed on how to build a defense. Read more about it here.
Coughling staying with Giants (11:30 a.m.):
The New York Giants are sticking with their coach and general manager after a second straight losing season.
Giants co-owner John Mara announced Tuesday that coach Tom Coughlin will return for a 12th season and Jerry Reese will be back as GM despite what he calls an "embarrassing" 6-10 record.
Mara says if there are to be any changes to the coaching staff that will be Coughlin's decision.
Mara adds that he still believes in Coughlin as a leader. He also is optimistic about next season because of the play of several rookies, notably Odell Beckham Jr., and that the team never quit after losing seven games in a row.
Reese also has been under fire. He has had two very good draft classes, and Mara says he needs another. -- AP
Raiders getting busy (11 a.m.):
FOX Sports 1 Insider Mike Garafolo reports former Jets and Browns head coach Eric Mangini will interview for Raiders vacancy; Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur also will interview for the opening.
Giants lose a coach (10:30 a.m.):
Giants QB coach Danny Langsdorf is headed for a reunion with Mike Riley at Nebraska. He'll be the offensive coordinator there after one year working with Eli Manning.
Mangini on the market? (1 a.m.):
The Oakland Raiders currently have a head coach, but that isn't keeping them from looking for an upgrade on the sideline. And they aren't looking far, either.
After being shunned by ex-49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh despite offering him more money than the University of Michigan, the Raiders are looking at San Francisco tight end coach Eric Mangini, FOX Sports 1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo reports.
Mangini, 43, is 33-47 in five seasons as head coach in the NFL, spending three seasons in New York as the Jets' head man before Rex Ryan then spending another two in Cleveland. His best season was his first, when he went 10-6 and earned a wild-card berth in New York. This past season was his first in San Francisco.
The Raiders fired head coach Dennis Allen in September after an 0-4 start. Tony Sparano was named interim coach and went 3-9, leading the Raiders to three wins in their last five games and a three-game home winning streak to end the regular season. There has yet to be an official announcement on Sparano's future with the club.
