Moore, Hankerson won't play against Bucs because of injuries

Published Oct. 30, 2015 3:43 p.m. ET

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) Falcons coach Dan Quinn says strong safety William Moore and receiver Leonard Hankerson have been ruled out for Sunday's home game against Tampa Bay.

Moore, a starter for the last six years, hurt his groin in last week's win at Tennessee and hasn't practiced this week. He missed nine games last year with an injured shoulder.

Kemal Ishmael is likely to start in Moore's spot alongside free safety Ricardo Allen and top reserve Robenson Therezie. Atlanta re-signed veteran Charles Godfrey this week to help with depth.

Hankerson is out with a sore hamstring.

Nick Williams, the No. 4 receiver behind Hankerson on the depth chart, will be a game-time decision with a sore hamstring. Rookie Justin Hardy will make his NFL debut.
