Merriman inactive again for Chargers

Chargers outside linebacker Shawne Merriman is inactive for San Diego's game against the Arizona Cardinals due to a calf injury.

Merriman also missed the season-opening loss at Kansas City with an Achilles' injury.

Also inactive are guard Louis Vasquez (knee) and linebacker Larry English, who had foot surgery last week and is expected to be out four to six weeks. Rookies Darrell Stuckey and Cam Thomas also were inactive.

Tyronne Green started for Vasquez, while Antwan Applewhite started for Merriman.

For the Cardinals, Stephen Williams started for wide receiver Steve Breaston, who had knee surgery.
